Columbus Short has moved on and his violent past does not seem to be a factor for his new lady. The actor's girlfriend, Rashida Russel, says that she is not concerned because he is "totally submissive" with her.

According to TMZ, the couple met while he was in Barbados, with their romance continuing as they got back to the States. He even moved her from New York to Atlanta, where he now resides.

Though the former Scandal star is not officially divorced from his estranged wife, Tanee Short, Russel is not intimidated. She even praises the ways he treats her, saying, "He treats me like a queen!"

Rashida Russel also says that she is helping keep Short on track by remembering all of his calendar appointments and appearances.
