Ray J Charged With Ten Crimes by Los Angeles District Attorney
Ray J's bad night this past May is turning into his worst nightmare. The Los Angeles District Attorney has charged the singer with ten different crimes stemming from a drunken, reckless night at the Beverly Hills Hotel, TMZ reports.
The night in question occurred last spring, when Ray J was ordered to leave the bar at the posh L.A. hotel after a drunken display. The eviction angered the singer, who reacted angrily and violently, and was promptly arrested. Things got worse when Brandy's brother allegedly spit on a police officer and kicked out the window of his cop car.
Now, Ray J is being charged with four counts of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery and two counts of vandalism. As for the last charge, for sexual battery, that comes from Ray J brushing against a female bar patron's rear end during the scuffle. Police have expressed that this charge is overreaching on the D.A.'s part since the physical contact was incidental, not intentional, but the D.A. slapped Ray with it anyway.
No word on when Ray J will have his day in court.
