Bobbi Kristina Brown Apologizes to Angela Bassett
Bobbi Kristina Brown is retracting her claws after blasting Angela Bassett for comments she made in regards to her planned biopic on Whitney Houston. Bassett, who is set to make her directorial debut with the unauthorized Lifetime telepic, said she hadn't considered casting Bobbi Kristina in the role of her mother because "she's not an actress."
The 20-year-old, who made her acting debut on an episode of Tyler Perry's for Better or Worse, didn't take too kindly to the perceived slight, calling Bassett a "b****" on Twitter.
After significant backlash from fans for her disrespect of the Oscar nominee (Bassett was also a friend of Whitney Houston's), Brown backtracked with an apology.
"I'm a young woman who can admit her wrongs," Brown tweeted. "4who was offended I apologize BUT understand me before your [sic] quick to judge though."
The Houston family plans to get the biopic shelved, however, the film doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Though Lifetime pulled the plug on their proposed Aaliyah biopic (starring Zendaya) over fan outrage, as of now, the story of Whitney will continue as planned.
