Is Chris Rock Planning a Comedy Tour With Dave Chappelle?
If the comedy gods align just right, audiences may get treated to a live show featuring two princes of comedy.
Chris Rock, fresh off the success of Madagascar 3, now on DVD, which earned $660 million at the box office, says he’s ready to curse and be that bad boy again. The 2 Days in New York star may be enlisting Dave Chappelle to help him do it.
Rock told the Today Show that in regards to returning to the stage to mount a comedy tour, “Me and Chappelle have been working out, trying to get some stuff together, we’ll see. It could be pretty dangerous.”
Chappelle has reportedly been keeping his standup razor sharp by popping up at comedy clubs around the country while Rock has kept busy by appearing regularly on the FX series Louie and behind the scenes as a producer for the upcoming documentaries Eat, Drink, Laugh and Credit Is the Devil. Together, these two comedic titans would be a match made in hilarity heaven.
Here’s hoping this funny dynamic duo actually makes it to the stage.
