Usher Orders Ex-Wife Out of His Mansion
Usher is looking to sell his Georgia mansion… on the one hand, to lighten his property load. On the other, to get its current occupant — his ex-wife — out.
TMZ reports that a source close to the couple said Tameka Raymond received a letter from Usher’s lawyer informing her that she has to find a new place to live because the singer plans to put the 12,000 sq. ft. house up for sale.
For the last few years, Tameka was allowed to live in the home. Unfortunately, under their 2009 divorce agreement, Usher retained his right to sell the property any time he wished, just as long as he gave his ex 60 days' notice.
Sources have said Tameka isn’t taking this latest development well because she has no income of her own. And since the divorce she’s been financially dependent on Usher.
No word yet on how much Usher is selling the mansion for.
This latest development comes shortly after Usher opened up to Oprah Winfrey on her show Oprah’s Next Chapter about his former marriage and its shortcomings.
