Tamar Braxton on Reality Spin-off, Annie Ilonzeh on New Sci Fi Pilot
Audiences who couldn’t get enough of youngest sister Tamar Braxton during the past two seasons of WE tv reality show Braxton Family Values are about to double their viewing pleasure.
This month, the 34-year old begins taping her reality spin-off show Tamar & Vince, which will air in Fall 2012 and spotlight the marriage and working relationship between she and husband Vincent Herbert, producer to top pop and R&B acts like Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Toni Braxton.
“On Braxton Family Values I am a sister, but on this show, it will be a whole different Tamar,” says Braxton. “Because I am his wife, I am successful and it’s a whole other different lifestyle.”
Toni’s little sister will juggle taping two reality shows (Tamar says she “absolutely” will still be apart of Values) while recording her long-awaited second solo album, and it’s a schedule she can balance easily.
“I was made for this,” Braxton adds. “I always lived like I was going to be a very famous singer not because I wanted to be famous, but because I wanted to be respected for my hard work. So I look forward to all the work.”
Ex-Charlie Angel Annie Ilonzeh will be heading back to the small screen for a sci-fi pilot called The Arrow. The fantasy series, which shoots in Vancouver, is about man who has secret superpowers. If the drama goes to series, the former General Hospital star will have a reoccurring role.
“I don’t have any superpowers, but I’d love to get in there and find out [eventually that] my character has some, too,” says Ilonzeh. But even if there are no powers on her horizon, you can still expect her to bring some TV pain. “I’m a tomboy and I like to kick some a**,” she says with a laugh. “So if you randomly see a little leg kick [in a scene], that means I couldn’t help myself.”
