The London Sessions - Mary will be releasing her twelfth album, Mary J. Blige: The London Sessions, on Dec. 2. Originally slated to be an EP, the album will be her first with her new label Capitol Records and was recorded entirely in London with their hottest new producers and songwriters, including Sam Smith and Emeli Sande. A documentary was also recorded filming the album’s process and will be released around the time of the album as well.(Photo: Capitol Records)

The Rundown: May J. Blige, The London Sessions - After reigning as the queen of hip hop soul for over 20 years, Mary J. Blige wants to stretch herself musically, vocally and continentally. Having worked with American music greats from Diddy to Chaka Khan, Mary traveled to London to collaborate with some of the U.K.'s young and most promising producers like Sam Smith, Jim Napes and Emeli Sandé.
