Musicians Who Didn't Capitalize on Reality TV Fame

Da Band's Chopper is just the latest reality star to flop.

Music Stars Who Didn't Capitalize on Reality TV Fame - Chopper — who you may or not remember from Da Band, the group Diddy assembled on the first season of reality show Making Da Band — is back in the news. And no, not for making music, or even another reality show. The New Orleans rapper was recently arrested in Las Vegas and is currently awaiting extradition on warrants for extortion and unauthorized use of a vehicle. We shouldn't really be that surprised — Chopper is just joining the long line of musicians who appeared on reality shows but have little to show for it. Click on to see what we mean. Making The Band - The Making The Band franchise originally started off as a search for the next great boy band (O-Town) and turned into the search for Diddy’s next meal ticket (Da Band, Danity Kane, Day 26). While they might not have been the great musicians in the world, each iteration of the show made for great television entertainment.  (Photo: Frank Micelotta/Getty Images)
JoJo Simmons - Run's House, the MTV reality show about Rev. Run's family, often showed the failed attempts of oldest son Jojo Simmons to get his rapper-producer career off the ground. No wonder #jojomustfeellike became a trending topic on Twitter when his little brother Diggy ended up signing a record deal instead.
