Jhene Aiko Answers the Big Sean Question All the Ladies Want to Know

Calling all maniacs.

When Jhene Aiko jumped out the studio with her lust-crazed “Maniac” single in November, we couldn’t help but wonder just what she was trying to tell us about her relationship with rapper beau Big Sean.

But after her conversation on Genius’s "IRL" interview series regarding the single’s provocative lyricism, Aiko gave us some details about how large of an influence Big Sean actually had on the track.

The interview, which took place in a Beverly Hills Luxe and Le Bra Lingerie shop, the West Coast crooner detailed how the single came to be.

Deviating from her normal soft-spoken and soulful tonality, she was asked to step out of her element for the song — a request she took quite literally. To do so, however, she nudged the Detroit hip-hop luminary for his assist on a few of the song’s most memorable lines. And sexiest.

“D**k long as a ruler,” she replied when questioned about any specific verses that had Big Sean’s influence. “Because he knows that’s how I like ‘em, so…”

She also surprisingly discussed how the song brought some nostalgia of her tender years in elementary school, when she and a friend nicknamed each other “Freaky Deaky” and “Freaky Deaky Jr.” The awkward silence after was both hilarious and cringe-worthy enough for a couple replays of the interview.
