Fans have been anticipating Nicki's fourth studio album for so long, they were understandably easy targets, falling victim to a series of tweets hinting at a fruit-themed album that ended up being just a cruel joke. It's been nearly two years since the release of The Pinkprint, but luckily, her next project will be out sometime in 2017, sitting at the top of our wishlist.

Nicki had a wildly successful collaboration with Ariana Grande, "Side to Side," which went on to peak at Number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The two also performed the smash single at the 2016 AMAs, with Nicki's verse leaving us hungry for more. All in all, the guest feature was a nice teaser to hold us over until her album drops. More of these, please.

This collaboration definitely isn't us asking for too much, especially if Meek Mill and Drake can leave their drama behind in 2016 where it belongs. The pair have collaborated multiple times over the years and let's face it, they've got chemistry in the studio.

We'd love to have some clarity in the new year regarding Nicki's relationship. While her and her boo thang Meek Mill have survived break-up rumors in the past, judging from recent reports, the two are going through it again. We've got no time for the back and forth, and can only imagine Nicki can say the same. 

Because, duh. This one's a no-brainer.

While it appears as though things between Nicki and Remy Ma have been just fine and dandy, judging from the two showing each other love following the 2016 BET Awards, a recent song from Remy suggests otherwise. We'd love to see the two rise above any potential beef and turn their competitive nature into a fire collaboration.

Nicki took to her Twitter this year to try to find her younger brother a new girlfriend. Needless to say, the feedback she received was amazing. Could you imagine if she could personally help find us new boos in 2017?!

Nicki Minaj got to wear her actress hat this year, portraying a hairdresser named Draya in the 3rd installment of Barbershop. We loved seeing her on the big screen in full character and are manifesting her landing more movie roles in the new year.

While Nicki has auctioned off a limited edition Barbie in the past for charity, we would freak out if she was able to collaborate with the doll company again. It'd be too perfect of a partnership, really. Let's go!

While we do admit it was hilarious that Nicki teased a fruit-themed album, if anyone could pull of such a feat, it'd be her.

Nicki's freestyle skills are an integral part of why she's often referred to as one of the best emcees in the game. We would 100% devour a full mixtape full of her just going off on the mic.

While Nicki's dreams came true in 2016 simply by meeting her icon Lauryn Hill, could you imagine what would happen if the two ever got in the studio together? Oh, the possibilities...
