Nasty Woman: How Last Night's Debate Became a Win for Janet Jackson

We're with her.

Last night at the third and final presidential debate (October 19), Donald Trump's attack on Hillary Clinton, by way of calling her "nasty," turned into an epic compliment for the Democratic candidate — and a little victory for Janet Jackson, too.

While Trump called her a "nasty woman" under his breath, Twitter users didn't miss the opportunity. They instantly flipped the insult into a compliment by playing Jackson's 1986 hit single "Nasty," creating some of the best memes this election has seen thus far.

Not only was the highly memed moment a wonderful gift to the internet, Jackson also saw the song's popularity increase by 250 percent on Spotify.

"Nasty" spontaneously and unofficially became the soundtrack anthem summing up last night's presidential debate, and we're not one bit mad about it.

In fact, it's almost safe to say that Jackson won last night's debate. Or at least her fans did.

Check out some of the reactions to Trump's "nasty" comment in the posts below.
