The Details Behind Rick Ross's 75-Pound Weight Loss

He still makes time for his beloved Wingstop, though.

Rick Ross, who was once notorious for his confidence in his larger size, is now being celebrated as inspiration for all of us. While he once weighed 350 pounds, the rapper has completely transformed his physique, dropping (and keeping off) an impressive 75 pounds over the past couple years.

In a new interview with Men’s Health, the rapper-turned-entrepreneur credits his weight loss to adjusting his diet, but also shares that he doesn’t omit indulging in Wingstop, the Texas-based chain restaurant he’s famously invested in.

“I’m happy,” Ross shares in the interview, which is evident in the accompanying snapshot of him bearing a full toothy grin while on a run. “I’m still losing weight, and now I’m starting to build hard muscle in places.”

Back in 2011, he suffered a series of seizures that inspired him to change his lifestyle and now, five years later, he remains committed to improving his health.

“I knew my weight loss wouldn’t last if I never ate the things I love,” Ross says, explaining the importance of his “cheat days.”

From working with a personal chef who incorporates the likes of kale casserole, salmon, salad and “giant fruit plates,” to putting time in at the gym, Ross is looking better than ever, and more important, feeling better than ever.
