The Game United More Than 100 Black Celebrities to Discuss Making a Change
Last night (July 13) The Game continued his efforts as an ally and leader of the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
Along with the help of his friends, the rapper organized a group of over 100 Black celebrities and held a secret, peaceful gathering dedicated to discussing what can be done in the wake of our country’s recent atrocities and racial strife.
The Game brought together entertainers, activists and policy makers to discuss what can be done to build a strategic approach to helping our community.
T.I., Cedric the Entertainer, Meagan Good, Tina Lawson, Jesse Williams and Tasha Smith were among those in attendance, as well as the Mayor of Compton, Aja Brown.
In a post detailing the event, The Game shared that the group dedicated the conversations towards discussing how we can “take a different approach to burying these problems once and for all.”
“This is a fight for everyone..... Not just Blacks, but everyone.... & all races, ethnicities, cities, states, countries & continents were brought up & we had a very peaceful meeting where voices from all entertainment groups were heard & no leaf was left unturned.…” the rapper shared on Instagram. “We as a HUMAN RACE were all affected with the past weeks tragedies & we ALL want immediate change…”
The Game also continued expressing the sentiment that keeping an open dialogue with one another is vital towards effecting positive change.
