It’s not out of the ordinary for DJ Khaled to post his gratitude on social media. His appreciative posts appear to consistently come from a genuine place, making it that much easier to root for him and feel excited with each one of his career’s little (big) victories.

Most recently, Khaled took to Instagram to share a heartfelt thank you letter to Beyoncé, who brought him along to do an opening set during her Formation world tour.

Bey also recently showed Khaled love right back by posting a reel of highlights from the tour that the two shared together. The clip is sprinkled with Khaled’s signature phrases, such as “we the best,” “another one” and “I’m up to something,” in addition to Beyoncé thanking the DJ for joining her on the road.

His thank-you letter had its motivational moments as well, inspiring others to work hard and never let “they” tell you you can’t achieve your goals and make your dreams come true.

“They told me I would never tour,” the DJ wrote. “They told me I would never touch a stage in a high school arena. Well I just finished touching the stage in every stadium in every major city in America. Dreams come true. But you have to work hard, you gotta work very hard!!! In order to stand beside the icon @Beyonce you gotto [sic] work hard for over 25 years and dedicate your blood sweat and tears to making your dreams a reality. I want to thank Beyoncé for putting me on stage in front of a stadium full of loyal fans of the #BeyHive and Fan luv! Dreams come true. Momma I made it!!!”

Looks like Khaled has come a long way from being afraid of Bey and running away from her when he sees her.
