A week after the Billboard Music Awards was harshly criticized on social media for the pop icon's tribute to Prince, Madge delivered a blanket statement on Instagram to everyone who took issue with the performance — including, yours truly.

Welp. Unfortunately, witty as this tweet is, it can't turn back the clock on a performance that failed to cover the various roles and stages of the legend's career.
