J. Cole Earned More Than Any Other Rapper in 2015

His earnings all come from his music, too.

While everyone is watching Drake rake in dollar bills, a new report has revealed which rapper was the highest earning artist in 2015.

Ladies and gentlemen, a sincere round of applause for J. Cole.

As reported, he stacked more money than any rapper in 2015, based solely on his music sales alone.

In a new report published by Billboard, it was released that J. Cole was the highest earning emcee, taking home a total of $8.8 million, with more than half of it ($5.5 million) coming from touring alone.

While he only released the Dreamville compilation, Revenge of the Dreamers II, in 2015, he made $1.5 million in sales, $1.1 million from publishing and $788,000 from streaming. His successes in 2015 stem from the popularity of his 2014 album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

As reported, The Weeknd made $8.6 million in music earnings, while Drizzy hit $7.4 million and Nicki Minaj made $6.3 million.
