True Blood: Stars You Didn't Know Were Related

Surprises we found in celebrity family trees.

Brad Pitt and Barack Obama - With Mother's Day around the corner, we got to thinking about which stars share blood with other fellow celebs. Some of the results surprise you. Take Brad Pitt: Researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society found out that he is a distant cousin of Barack Obama. The unlikely kin would probably be sending a Mom's Day card to a common great, great, great grandmother somewhere.(Photos from left: Valerie Goodloe/PictureGroup, Saul Loeb-Pool/Getty Images)
Naomi Campbell and Richard Blackwood - The supermodel and TV presenter may be step-siblings through marriage (Richard's dad married Naomi's mom), but their bond lasted longer than the marriage. The pair stayed close even after their parents split up. (Photo: Dave Benett/Getty Images)
Spike Lee and Baron Davis - Spike Lee has never been shy about voicing his opinion courtside, but his heckling got considerably more awkward when his second cousin, NBA star Baron Davis, came to play for his home team, the New York Knicks. (Photos from left:  Morris Melvin/PictureGroup, Brian Ach/Getty Images)Ashley Cole and Mariah Carey - While searching her family tree for a relation to jazz icon Nat King Cole, Carey was surprised to discover she shared blood with a different Cole altogether, in English soccer star Ashley Cole. Not a bad consolation prize!(Photos from left: Mike Hewitt/Getty Images, Kevin Winter/Getty Images)
