And Now, A Word From Ray J On Kim Kardashian And Kanye West’s Feud With Nick Cannon

We really didn’t expect this reaction from him.

Marriage and fatherhood looks good on Love & Hip Hop star Ray J.

The singer-turned-reality star opened up about how his new roles as a husband and father helped him steer clear of the ongoing drama between Kanye West and Nick Cannon

Last week, West took to social media with smoke for Nick Cannon after publicly addressed his wife, Kim Kardashian, who Ray J previously dated. Nick Cannon replied back with an offer to chop it up on his comedy show, Wild 'N Out, before the duo allegedly slid in each other's DMs, exchanged phone numbers and hashed things out over the phone.

While the beef between Kanye West and Nick Cannon may have come to an end, Ray J shared one of the most unexpected reactions to the feud during an interview with TooFab.

While Ray J took the high, more mature, road with his reaction, we won't ever be able to forget the epic shade that he threw Ye's way in "I Hit It First."

  • Ray J credited his disinterest in the current KimYe and Nick Cannon beef with growth and maturity.

"I haven't really been paying attention to the back and forth between [Kanye and Nick]... For me, I have to grow up and be my own man and look out for my own family and make sure that my wife and baby are comfortable with what I'm saying. So if that affects them then it affects me."

  • Although he's made a slew of personal changes, Ray J does admit to going a little hard in his past.

"I've been disrespectful over the years in my career because I was living a young, turnt up life.I've said a lot of crazy things about a lot of stuff. Looking back, I wouldn't take anything back, but looking forward, I wouldn't do it again. I would definitely think twice before I speak and take everybody's feelings into consideration and not just mine."

  • The "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" star answered the recent question about whether or not there should be boundaries when it comes to public feuds.

"So should you kinda watch what you say in life for your family? Absolutely. What they're going through, I don't know. That's some macho kind of stuff that I don't wanna be a part of. If my wife says I can't speak then that's for sure. I gotta listen to her."

  • He closed by setting the record straight about how he'd react to any of his wife's ex's coming forward with stories about their past.

"I'm totally comfortable in my own skin with the wife, and we're like best friends, so if somebody's got something to say and it's in their past and that's their story...then nobody can tell you about your story."
