Risk It All: Here's How Much Mike Epps' Divorce Is Costing Him
Mike Epps’ divorce from his ex-wife Chenelle Epps has officially been settled. While he may be rejoicing over his newfound freedom, the comedian may be reeling over the coins he’ll be turning over to his ex.
According to TMZ, the Girl’s Trip star will have to cough over $25k in monthly spousal support for 6 and ½ years along with $15k in monthly child support and private school tuition for their two children. He has also been ordered to split royalties from various films and television roles including: The Hangover, Hancock and Girl’s Trip with his former wife.
While it seems like Mike Epps is handing over a lot, he does get to keep 10 properties in Indiana and four cars.
Mike and Chenelle Epps met on the set of The Fighting Temptations in 2003 and tied the knot in 2006. When news broke that he’d filed for divorce in January 2016, his estranged wife told TMZ that she was “blindsided” by their split and blamed it largely on his involvement with another woman. Over the course of their relationship, the couple publicly fell out after Epps was caught asking another woman to DM him on Twitter.
Despite his divorce being officially confirmed today (Sept. 7), Epps has moved on with television executive Kyra Robinson.
