A 'Love & Hip-Hop' Star Facing Assault Charges Dodged a Bullet in Court
Members of the Love & Hip-Hop franchise are no strangers to legal drama, but this time, it seems as one managed to catch a major break from the system.
According to TMZ, Teairra Marí was let off hook in her Uber beat-down case all thanks to the driver because he refused to take the stand.
Prosecutors made the claim to dismiss three charges against the Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood cast member for allegedly physically assaulting an Uber driver and stealing his charger. The judge eventually agreed to throw out the case.
That's not all the singer-turned-reality star has to celebrate. According to court docs, she also got her $26,000 bail money back in full.
This all stemmed from the incident that occurred last year, leading to Marí failing to appear in court last summer. She eventually decided to surrender to the police, and it seems as everything worked out in her favor.
It is being reported that the driver refused to take the stand because he knew his story wouldn't hold up in court.
