Oh, No: Steve Harvey Just Met With Donald Trump
Steve Harvey is following in Kanye West's footsteps as it's just been reported that he is gearing up to meet with President-elect Donald Trump today.
The Hill reports that Trump's transition team recently confirmed that the talk show host was among the visitors expected at Trump Tower today.
Fox News also got a quote from the Family Feud host, who called the invitation "an honor" before adding that "we're off to a good start."
Harvey said last February that, though he did not endorse Trump, he believed that the former Celebrity Apprentice host would make politics exciting again.
"Donald Trump — we've seen nothing like him in politics before," he told the Daily Beast. "He's very entertaining to me. I've got to tell you. I can't take my eyes off of the man when he's talking — mostly because I can't believe he's saying what he's saying out loud... But I like him, personally. I do! I think he's exciting for politics. Politics haven't been this exciting in a long time."
Also, shortly after it was announced that Trump won the presidential election, Harvey took to his morning radio show to extend his congratulations.
"Congratulations to Donald Trump. He is the president of the United States of America. As hard as I fought for that not to be the case, it is the case," he said. "As a member of this country, we have to accept the results of the election. It is what it is."
