Take Two: Wendy Williams Is Getting Backlash Over the N-Word
She's back at it.
After getting dragged by social media — and Roland Martin — for her offensive comments regarding HBCUs and the NAACP last week, Wendy Williams has since apologized, but that apparently didn't mean she's done. In a recent episode of her talk show, the New Jersey native, while discussing the Kanye West/Taylor Swift/Kim Kardashian fiasco, compared the use of the word "b***h" to the N-word, and social media is not happy.
When discussing Kanye West's use of the word "b***h" while referencing Taylor Swift in his new single, "Famous," Wendy said, "I say there's a technicality here. What he didn't tell her is that last line. 'I made that B famous.' Sometimes you don't mind being called a B if it's in the right context, but other times, kind of like the N-word."
Continuing to fan the flames, she added, "You know how Black people throw around the N-word and it's cool sometimes according to some Black people? And not cool sometimes."
