Gabrielle Union Shares Sweet Self-Care Moment with Daughter Kaavia

“Self-care is always very important, and it's never too early to start,” said The Perfect Find actress.

Gabrielle Union is soaking up some TLC with her baby girl.

Yesterday, The Perfect Find actress shared a cute video of her and her adorable 4-year-old daughter Kaavia as they relaxed and enjoyed skin care. The duo donned sheet masks.

According to Union, “Self-care is always very important, and it's never too early to start.”

“Giving love and care is just as important as teaching it,” she captioned the post, followed by a purple heart emoji.

Then, she jokingly asked Kaavia if she "felt younger" while wearing her mask. The toddler replied, "Mm-hmm."

The video took a touching turn when Union detailed advice to Kaavia, who "felt heartbroken on the playground" one day. "It's important to try to make yourself feel kind of right."

She also asked her, "What did you get Mommy today?" After taking a moment, Kaavia looked up to her and said "love" while gesturing the sentiment with her hands. After that, Union embraced Kaavia in a warm hug.

Last week, Union addressed a recurring question she gets from people asking about her decision to step into motherhood at age 46.

"There's a lot that goes into that answer, but in a nutshell, hell yes! It's been worth it," she said while applying a body butter from the Proudly baby care line she co-founded with hubby Dwyane Wade. "It's changed my life in so many wondrous ways."

"I was healed and I had committed to healing internally, so I didn't pass all that generational trauma onto Kaav." Union believes if she had become a mom earlier in life, she "would have passed along way too many traumatic things to my child."

She continued, "I didn't really get into healing from all of my traumas, healing my soul, healing my aura," while adding, "I wasn't in a place to even take care of myself, much less our little miracle."

"So, for me, it's absolutely worth it. She is the best thing to ever happen to me."
