Eric Holder, former Attorney General during the Obama administration, said the country will suffer "incalculable damage" if Trump is victorious in the election in November

In a recent interview, when asked if Obama holds the same opinion, Holder said, "Absolutely. I don't think it's a question about that.”

"I think that's what motivates him. I think that's what will continue to motivate him," Holder continues.

Anton Gunn, a South Carolina Democrat who previously worked on Obama's 2008 campaign also spoke about “the fierce urgency of now” regarding Biden’s campaign.

“I'm convinced more than ever before, that we have to save American democracy through our actions, and that we cannot allow Trump to be dictator for one minute, much less one day, one week, and give him four years," Gunn argued.

According to senior advisor Eric Schultz, Obama, who frequently speaks with Biden, said he will use his enormous platform to deploy a strategy centered on "driving impact," and "picking our moments because our objective is to move the needle.”

Over the past several weeks, Democrats have been pressing Biden's campaign to do more to connect with independents and the progressive wing of the party with the success of their policies.

In a USA Today/Suffolk University poll, Trump is leading Biden 39 percent to 37 percent with another 17 percent claiming to support a third-party candidate. Biden has also seen a decline in support with Blacks, Hispanics, and younger voters, a survey conducted by Politico stated.

Appearing on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast on Monday (Jan. 8), Michelle Obama also shared her fears about the possibility of another Trump presidency.

“Our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit – it affects us in ways that sometimes I think people take for granted,” Michelle Obama said. "I am terrified about what could possibly happen."

“The fact that people think that government — ‘eh, does it really even do anything?’ — and I’m like ‘Oh my God, does government do everything for us, and we cannot take this democracy for granted,” she continued. “And I worry sometimes that we do. Those are the things that keep me up.”
