Celebrity Fitness Coach DJ Shai Partners with Equinox and Lululemon to Host A Day of Wellness in Los Angeles

The event, dubbed Girls Gone Active, featured a variety of workout classes to promote healthy habits.

Black girls everywhere are tapping into the power of living a healthy lifestyle.

Last weekend, celebrity fitness guru DJ Shai hosted a transformative day of wellness dubbed Girls Gone Active with Equinox Sports Club and lululemon to energize thriving minds and healthy bodies of all shapes and sizes.

Two hundred women attended the event at the revered gym in Century City as part of an effort to gain awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Healthy Lung Month.

"It's a time when we emphasize the importance of early detection, self-care, and overall well-being.  This event is a celebration of women's strength and a platform for raising awareness about these critical health issues," said DJ Shai.

She also emphasized that "women from all walks of life come together to celebrate their strength, health, and individuality."

“Through invigorating fitness, entrepreneurial support, and holistic wellness, we aim to uplift every woman on her unique journey towards health, success, and self-discovery,” she added.

During the event, Mychele Sims, creator of "The Werk," led the crowd in a fun, upbeat warmup routine. That was followed by complimentary workout sessions held by top-rated Equinox instructors, including DJ Shai, who had the girls doing indoor cycling like a boss while Elle Young helped folks achieve the best butt ever.

For those who preferred to maximize their fitness goals with a calmer approach, Frances Flores conducted a power yoga session. Sydney Belina guided a barre group to target the entire body, while  Jenia headed a treadmill class.

After working up a sweat, participants were treated to a calming sound bath led by Adrienne Bawa, R.N.

To close out the day, DJ Kennedy had the hottest sounds jumping during a well-deserved afterparty.
