Cardi B Plans To Sue LAPD for Mistreatment and Accusations of Drug Trafficking

The "Enough Is Enough" rapper said she was mistreated by law enforcement officials on her Instagram.

Cardi B said that the LAPD tried to arrest her for drug trafficking and that she plans to sue the department for false accusations.

On Monday (March 25), Cardi took to her Instagram to share her recollection of the incident.

"They had all the helicopters in L.A. Yo, I was freaking out. They had me outside for like three hours. They had me getting butt-naked outside,” Cardi said in the video. “Yo, like, s**t was crazy. It was deada** a movie and whatever but you already know.

Cardi went on to say that she intends to file a lawsuit in response to the department’s mistreatment of her.

“I'm bout to sue the LAPD. I told them like, 'yo, I'm Cardi B. Like do I look like I gotta sell some s**t? Like why would I do that? I would never pull no s**t like that,” she continued.

“They didn't believe me, it was some White cops and they ain't know who I was. It was really tough on me and everything,” Cardi added. “They said somebody gave them a clue. I really feel like it was one of my opps and s**t, like they really trying to ruin my life type s**t. Like y'all don't even f**king know. I been going through a lot lately."

Cardi B Explains Why She Was 'Afraid' to Drop Music in 2023

In addition to her run-in with the law,  Cardi has appeased her fans by releasing new music. Her latest track, “Enough (Miami),” is a reminder that she is still one of the rap game's biggest stars and she put everyone on notice with the scorching-hot track.

During an interview on 360 with Speedy, Cardi shared that she "lost herself" in 2023 because of the harsh criticism that she faced which caused her to be fearful of releasing new music.

"I just feel like I lost myself with everything, you know, like, a lot of music commenters and everything and a lot of people just be like, you know, ‘She's afraid to drop an album, she’s afraid to drop music,’" Cardi said. "Last year, I barely dropped music. It’s just like I was just afraid to do everything."
